Basketball Recap: Antelope Valley Comes Up Short

Antelope Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 39-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the California City Ravens.

California City found their leader in freshman ANGELA COULTER, who almost dropped a triple-double with 24 points, 17 boards, and nine blocks. COULTER also grabbed five steals, which is notable because the Ravens are 3-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 1-5 otherwise. NAIROBI WALLACE was another key player, putting up eight points.

Antelope Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for California City, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Antelope Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lancaster at 5:00 p.m. on January 13, 2026. As for California City, they will challenge Desert Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
