Football Recap: Franklin Falls Short of Hickory in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Franklin couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 36-14 to the Hickory Red Tornadoes on Friday. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.

Franklin's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Hickory, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hickory, they will challenge Jay M. Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Tornadoes will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games.
