Soccer Game Preview: Streetsboro vs. Cloverleaf

The Streetsboro Rockets will take on the Cloverleaf Colts at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Streetsboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

Cloverleaf is facing Streetsboro at the wrong time: Streetsboro suffered their first home loss of the season on Tuesday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 1-0. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Streetsboro couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Cloverleaf kept a clean sheet against Woodridge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering Cloverleaf have won five contests by more than seven goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Woodridge from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Jackson James led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

The victory made it two in a row for Cloverleaf and bumps their season record up to 7-5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those two matchups. As for Streetsboro, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-3-1.
