Softball Recap: Platte Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Platte Valley fell victim to Lyons and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 27, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Alyssa Kendrick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

Platte Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Lyons, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Platte Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-3 win against Weld Central on the 18th. As for Lyons, they have also already played their next matchup, a 4-3 defeat against University on the 18th.
