Basketball Game Preview: Bullard Knights vs. Roosevelt Rough Riders

The Bullard Knights will head out to take on the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Bullard's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

If Bullard beats Roosevelt with 65 points on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Bullard blew past Torres 65-25 on Tuesday. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell to Hoover 47-43. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rough Riders came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while the Patriots are ranked 374th).

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Bullard, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Bullard took a serious blow against Roosevelt when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 56-27. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Bullard was down 33-12.
