Boone came out on top against Perry on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Toreadors put the hurt on the Bluejays with a sharp 10-2 win. The Toreadors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Boone is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Perry, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11-1.

Looking ahead, Boone is taking a road trip to square off against Winterset at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Perry, they will be playing at home against Pella at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
