Baseball Recap: Greenfield-Central Triumphs

Greenfield-Central came out on top against Richmond on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Cougars took their matchup against the Red Devils 6-1. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Hunter Robling looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hayden Kidd, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Richardson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI.

Greenfield-Central's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Richmond, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenfield-Central will challenge Shelbyville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Richmond, they will take on Pendleton Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
