Basketball Recap: Halifax Takes a Loss

Halifax lost against Biglerville back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Halifax Wildcats were dealt a 52-23 defeat at the hands of the Biglerville Canners.

Kierney Weigle had a dynamite game for Biglerville, going 6 of 7 en route to 20 points and four steals. What's more, Weigle also posted a 86% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Claire Roberts, who posted six points in addition to nine rebounds and five assists.

Halifax has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Biglerville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Halifax didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-45 win against Newport on the 8th. As for Biglerville, they have also already played their next match, a 50-29 victory against Annville-Cleona on the 10th.
