After flying high against Wilkinson County two weeks ago, Georgia Military College came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Westminster Christian Academy Lions by a score of 8-7 on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Eli Griffith and Lantz Holton stepped up to the plate in a big way. Griffith scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Holton scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Webster, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Georgia Military College's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Georgia Military College has already played their next contest, a 14-1 loss against Pinewood Christian on the 10th. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will challenge Peachtree Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
