Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chapel Hill). They put the hurt on the Douglas County Tigers with a sharp 19-3 victory on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Panthers with their most commanding win of the season.

Jason Harrell was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Harrell was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

In other batting news, Phillip Ackerman was a standout: he scored two runs and stole Six bases. while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Austin, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Chapel Hill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Douglas County only posted a batting average of .100.

The win made it two in a row for Chapel Hill and bumps their season record up to 7-8. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing ten hits in those games compared to only 4.31 in the others. As for Douglas County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
