Soccer Game Preview: Lumpkin County vs. Pickens

The Lumpkin County Indians will head out on the road to take on the Pickens Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lumpkin County will be strutting in after a win while Pickens will be coming in after a defeat.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Lumpkin County and White County, and Lumpkin County kept the tradition alive. Lumpkin County skirted past White County 3-2. The victory continues a trend for Lumpkin County in their matchups with White County: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Pickens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 7-0 to Greater Atlanta Christian. While losing is never fun, Pickens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 306th, while Greater Atlanta Christian are ranked 47th).

Lumpkin County's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Pickens, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
