Cedaredge hadn't done well against Palisade recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Bruins walked away with  a   10-5  win over the Bulldogs. The Bruins'  victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
 Tia Homedew was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  seven innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   nine  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Jewel Laliberte and  Kiera Stroh did most of the damage at the plate:  Laliberte  went a perfect 4-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI, while  Stroh  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. That's the most  doubles  Stroh has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Kimbry Hebert, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  RBI.
 Cedaredge was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .379 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Cedaredge's record now sits at 3-0. As for Palisade, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Cedaredge has already played their next contest,  a  13-1  win against Basalt on the 23rd. As for Palisade, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season  when they go up against Grand Junction Central  at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday.
