Preview: Central Dragons vs. Greater Johnstown Trojans
After two games on the road, Central is heading back home. They will take on the Greater Johnstown Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Wednesday, Central came up short against Bellwood-Antis and fell 42-35. Central has struggled against Bellwood-Antis recently, as their contest on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Greater Johnstown suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They were beaten by Westmont Hilltop 53-25. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Greater Johnstown has scored all season.
Central has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Greater Johnstown, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Central strolled past Greater Johnstown in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 by a score of 44-25. Will Central repeat their success, or does Greater Johnstown have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
