Baseball Game Preview: Agricultural Science Cyclones vs. Brooks Eagles

Agricultural Science is 0-4 against Brooks since March of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Cyclones are taking a road trip to take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Agricultural Science has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Agricultural Science lost 17-6 to Argo on Wednesday.

Alonzo Ortega made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Agricultural Science: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 8-10 otherwise. David Montes also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Brooks came up short against Saint Ignatius College Prep on Tuesday, falling 9-1.

Brooks saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was PJ Hester, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Brooks now has a losing record of 17-18. As for Agricultural Science, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Agricultural Science might still be hurting after the 11-1 loss they got from Brooks when the teams last played back in May of 2022. Can the Cyclones avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
