Basketball Recap: Millikan Comes Up Short

Millikan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 51-41 defeat to the Cypress Centurions.

Cypress' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jocelyn Tani, who posted 11 points. Jazmine Pham was another key player, putting up ten points.

Millikan's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Cypress, their record now sits at 9-7.

Millikan will head out to challenge Lakewood at 5:30 p.m. on January 8th. As for Cypress, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-39 victory against La Habra on the 3rd.
