Soccer Recap: Minarets Has No Trouble Against Firebaugh

Minarets kept a clean sheet against Firebaugh on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over the Firebaugh Eagles. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Mustangs' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Firebaugh with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Gennie Munoz (2), Allison DeMasters, Kamryn Holland, and Devon Menchaca.

The win made it two in a row for Minarets and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for Firebaugh, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 0-7-2 record this season.

Minarets didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 1-1 draw against Morro Bay on the 13th. As for Firebaugh, they will be home for the holidays to greet Wonderful College Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
