Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sedan). They breezed past the West Elk Patriots to the tune of 56-12 on Friday. For the Devils, this counts as revenge for the 56-0 win the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Despite the loss, West Elk saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ryatt Griesel rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown.

The victory got Sedan back to even at 3-3. As for West Elk, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sedan will host Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West Elk, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Northeast at 7:00 p.m. The Patriots will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
