Football Game Preview: Jackson County Panthers vs. Milton Eagles + Official Tickets

Two dominant backs in Daylan Maxwell and Bentley Hickman are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Jackson County Panthers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Milton Eagles at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Jackson County's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last eight contests.

Jackson County is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Glynn Academy 50-7. Considering the Panthers have won nine games by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Milton strolled past Shiloh with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-17. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Generals are ranked 154th).

Milton found their leader in sophomore Hickman, who rushed for 224 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Ben Halevi's passing game has become a key predictor of the Eagles' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-3 otherwise.

Milton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Jackson County's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.2 points over those games. As for Milton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
