Baseball Recap: Westside Patriots vs. Baldwin Braves

Westside was the 11-7 winner over Baldwin when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braves on Friday.

Westside got a good showing from DeAntre Charles, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Charles has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Tristan Williamson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Trenton Williamson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Baldwin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-14 record this season.
