Softball Recap: Fillmore Central Victorious

After losing to Raymond Central the last time they met, Fillmore Central decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Panthers walked away with a 13-10 win over the Mustangs on Saturday.

Alexis Saatmann was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn Oldehoeft, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Fillmore Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Fillmore Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Raymond Central, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coincidentally, Fillmore Central and Raymond Central will both be playing Twin River the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Titans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
