Recap: Central Dragons vs. Penns Valley Area Rams
The Central Dragons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 59-46 victory over Penns Valley Area. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Central also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2021.
Despite the defeat, Penns Valley Area saw an underclassman step up: Ellie Romig scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for her. Kayla Hopkins was another key contributor, scoring four points along with ten rebounds.
Central now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Penns Valley Area, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central will face off against Bellefonte at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellefonte comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Penns Valley Area, they will head out on the road to face off against Huntingdon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
