Basketball Recap: Frazier Comes Up Short

Frazier lost against Winchester Thurston back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Frazier Commodores were outmatched by Winchester Thurston and fell 61-22. While losing is never fun, the Commodores can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 546th, while Winchester Thurston are ranked 233rd).

When it comes to explaining why Frazier lost, don't look at Allie Yauch. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malana Burton, who earned five points and ten rebounds.

Frazier has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Winchester Thurston, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

When Frazier and Winchester Thurston next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Frazier will try to stop Riverview's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Winchester Thurston will try to stop Ellis' three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
