Basketball Recap: Oakdale Takes a Loss

Oakdale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 50-21 loss at the hands of the Patterson Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-23 back in January.

Patterson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alyse Lomeli led the charge by putting up 12 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Lomeli is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Takhiya Hardin, who posted ten points and eight steals.

Oakdale's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Patterson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-7.

We've got a battle between Mustangs coming up. Patterson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
