Baseball Recap: Appling County Wins Going Away Against Montgomery County

Appling County got themselves on the board against Montgomery County on Monday, but Montgomery County never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 back in February.

Appling County's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Montgomery County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Appling County will face off against Cook at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Pirates' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Montgomery County, they will challenge East Laurens at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
