After flying high against Locke last Friday, Hawkins came back down to earth. The Hawkins Hawks were dealt a 53-25 defeat at the hands of the Foshay Wolverines on Wednesday. The Hawks' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Leading Foshay to victory were Kelis Jones and Aunisha Clark. Jones posted 17 points, while Clark earned 14 points.

Hawkins' defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Foshay, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Hawkins and Foshay's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Hawkins and Locke (who has only given up 27.89 points per game) will meet at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Hawkins' defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Foshay's offense will have their work cut out for them. Meanwhile, Foshay will face off against Larchmont Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, a team that's only allowed 27.75 points per game.
