Soccer Game Preview: Mead vs. Frederick + Official Tickets

Mead is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Frederick a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Mead Mavericks will be playing at home against the Frederick Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mead is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Centaurus on Tuesday. The Mavericks came up short against the Warriors, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Mead can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while Centaurus are ranked 26th).

Meanwhile, Frederick fell victim to Niwot and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. That's two games in a row now that Frederick have lost by exactly two goals.

Mead's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-1. As for Frederick, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.
