Game recap: Andover High School Football Team defeats Spring Lake Park

ANDOVER, Minn. - A late missed two-point conversion cost Spring Lake Park (Minn.) as they fell 33-32 to Andover (Minn.).

After trailing 13-7 at the half, the Panthers went ahead on a Derek McLaughlin touchdown run with under a minute left in the fifth.

Andover saw its 6-point halftime lead fall to five entering the fourth.

Spring Lake Park came in surrendering 14.7 points per game this season. SLP had a hard time against Andover's offense, which entered the game scoring 29.9 points per game.



The victory avenged Andover's close 27-26 loss to the Panthers last season.

The loss comes after Spring Lake Park defeated Mahtomedi 15-14 last week. The loss snapped Spring Lake Park's two-game winning streak. With the win the Huskies extended their winning streak to three games.
