Softball Recap: Valley Park Takes a Loss

Valley Park lost against Lutheran South back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Hawks fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 6-5. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Adison Durbin was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alivia Robison, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Valley Park now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Lutheran South, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-7-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Valley Park will take on Hazelwood West at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Lutheran South, they will face off against Cor Jesu Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
