Pierce County put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lakeside Panthers a 4-0 shutout. The four-run effort marked the Bears' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Pierce County's victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Coming up, Pierce County is taking a road trip to take on South Effingham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeside, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against Glascock County on the 8th.
