Football Game Preview: Jefferson Jaguars vs. Washburn Millers + Official Tickets

The Jefferson Jaguars will face off against the Washburn Millers on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Jefferson took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They never let Kennedy get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Abram Bruggeman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 145 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 145 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Washburn had no trouble coming through when it counted. They beat Kennedy on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 55-20. The result was nothing new for the Millers, who have now won six games by 27 points or more so far this season.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Washburn, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.

Jefferson took a serious blow against Washburn when the teams last played back in August, falling 34-6. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
