Cedaredge won the last time they faced Meeker and things went their way  on Saturday too. The Bruins put the hurt on the Cowboys with a sharp  12-5 win. The Bruins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by seven  runs or more this season.
 Tia Homedew made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  struck out nine batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off   five  hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Meri Hollembeak, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  triple.  Kimbry Hebert was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Cedaredge  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  strikeout total in three consecutive  matchups.
Cedaredge pushed their record up to 11-5 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Meeker,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-12.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cedaredge will  face off against  rival Delta  at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Meeker is set to  take on  their familiar foe Aspen  at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
