Soccer Game Preview: Hudson vs. New Hampton

The Hudson Pirates will face off against the New Hampton Chickasaws at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hudson has three straight victories, New Hampton has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Hudson's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Columbus with a sharp 7-0 win. Hudson might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, New Hampton fell victim to Postville and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 6-0.

Hudson's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-0-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those seven games. As for New Hampton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-12.

Everything went Hudson's way against New Hampton in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Hudson made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chickasaws turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
