Baseball Recap: Long County Takes a Loss

Long County was the 1-0 winner over Pierce County when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Tide fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. Blue Tide fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bears since on Wednesday.

Long County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Pierce County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Long County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pierce County, they will challenge Washington County at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
