Basketball Recap: Rancho San Juan Comes Up Short

Rancho San Juan was the 42-38 winner over Carmel when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Rancho San Juan Trailblazers took a 35-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carmel Padres. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rancho San Juan's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Carmel, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Rancho San Juan and Carmel could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Rancho San Juan will take on Stevenson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday down 409 places (756 vs. 347). Meanwhile, Carmel (ranked 939th) will meet North Monterey County (ranked 440th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
