Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Trion walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Taylor County Vikings with a sharp 15-3 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 15 matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Trion has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Taylor County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-11.

Trion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Taylor County, they will square off against The Grace Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
