Soccer Game Preview: Coast Union vs. Villanova Prep

The Coast Union Broncos will face off against the Villanova Prep Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Coast Union will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Dunn, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. Coast Union's defense stepped up to hand Dunn a 5-0 shutout on Thursday. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by three goals or more this season.

They hit Dunn with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Carolina Hernandez (2), Krystal Garcia Carbajal (2), and Dayami Ramirez.

Meanwhile, Villanova Prep hadn't done well against Santa Clara recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way back in December of 2024. Villanova Prep was the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over Santa Clara.

Coast Union has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Villanova Prep, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
