Baseball Recap: Odin/Patoka/Sandoval Triumphs

Odin/Patoka/Sandoval's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Woodlawn Cardinals by a score of 8-3. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Brady Cain spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Austin Hoffman was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Haines, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Odin/Patoka/Sandoval kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Odin/Patoka/Sandoval's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Woodlawn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Odin/Patoka/Sandoval will challenge Okawville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rockets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Woodlawn, they will take on North Clay/Clay City at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
