Buford came tearing into Wednesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Discovery Titans. Considering the Wolves have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Buford's victory bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Discovery, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.

Looking ahead, Buford will host Prestonsburg at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday. The Blackcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.9 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. Discovery will be paying especially close attention to Buford's matchup: after Buford faces off against Prestonsburg, they'll take on Discovery again at 5:55 p.m. on Friday.
