Softball Recap: Seckman Comes Up Short

If Seckman was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Webster Groves on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars fell 6-1 to the Hillsboro Hawks on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Jaguars of the 13-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Seckman's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Hillsboro, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, Seckman will face off against Jackson at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Fighting Indians' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Jaguars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hillsboro, they will welcome Oakville at 12:45 p.m. on Friday.
