Monroe Area came tearing into Tuesday's game with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the West Hall Spartans a 17-0 shutout. The Purple Hurricanes' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Monroe Area's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for West Hall, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
