Softball Recap: Calamus-Wheatland Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Calamus-Wheatland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the East Buchanan Buccaneers with a sharp 10-2 win. Considering the Warriors have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Calamus-Wheatland's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-14. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for East Buchanan, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Calamus-Wheatland beat the Buccaneers by a score of 12-4 later that day.
