Basketball Recap: Berwick Takes a Loss

Berwick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the Crestwood Comets and fell 58-30. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 47-27 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carly Post, who posted ten points. Lily Nespoli was another key player, putting up eight points.

Berwick's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Crestwood, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berwick will venture away from home to take on Hazleton Area at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hazleton Area will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something Berwick surely won't give up without a fight. Crestwood has already played their next contest (against Pittston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
