Softball Recap: Clarke Takes a Loss

Clarke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chariton Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 back in May.

Clarke's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Chariton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Clarke is taking a road trip to take on Wayne at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. Chariton has already played their next contest (against Newton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
