Trinity Academy is a perfect 4-0 against Belle Plaine since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights will welcome the Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Trinity Academy will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Trinity Academy had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Smoky Valley on Friday. The Knights put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 36-16 win. The Knights' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Zac Zimmerman, who threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 89 yards and one score. Trinity Academy's leading receiver Bryton Baty was Zimmerman's top target yet again, picking up 107 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Belle Plaine played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Garden Plain, falling 46-7. The loss continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Owls: they've now lost eight in a row.

The victory got Trinity Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Belle Plaine, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Everything came up roses for Trinity Academy against Belle Plaine in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 50-6 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Dragons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
