Football Game Preview: River Dell Golden Hawks vs. Bergenfield Bears + How To Watch

River Dell is 6-1 against Bergenfield since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Golden Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (River Dell has three straight victories, Bergenfield has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, River Dell humbled Morris Hills with a 48-6 victory. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Golden Hawks this season.

River Dell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zion Yoon, who threw for 203 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. Cain Lanza helped Yoon out on the ground, rushing for 56 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Bergenfield and Pascack Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bears took a 24-6 bruising from the Panthers on Saturday. The Bears were down 24-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

River Dell now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bergenfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
