Basketball Recap: Gordon-Rushville Comes Up Short

Gordon-Rushville lost against Alliance back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gordon-Rushville Mustangs took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alliance Bulldogs.

When it comes to explaining why Gordon-Rushville lost, don't look at Rowan Simonson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards. Braylynne McKimmey was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Gordon-Rushville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Alliance, they moved to 1-13 with that win, which also ended their 14-game losing streak.

Gordon-Rushville has already played their next match (against Mullen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Alliance will face off against Ogallala at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
