Liberty dropped down to 3-2 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 18-6 to the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lancers of the 15-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.
Liberty saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Joiner, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double was Joiner's first of the season.

Another player making a difference was Corrine Harlow, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
Liberty wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-2 win against Pueblo County on the 29th. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-2 victory against The Classical Academy on the 29th.
