Volleyball Game Preview: Andrews Wildcats vs. Swain County Maroon Devils

Andrews hasn't had much luck against Swain County recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Maroon Devils at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Andrews will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Murphy, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 3-2 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Swain County was able to grind out a solid victory over Robbinsville on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Maroon Devils in their matchups with the Black Knights: they've now won eight in a row.

Swain County had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-18.

Andrews now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Swain County, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Andrews skirted past Swain County 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Maroon Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
