The Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) volleyball were victorious over the host Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), 3-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Maroon Devils now possess a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they host Murphy for a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A match on Tuesday, October 7.

The Wildcats (10-10) will now prepare for their match against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Yellowjackets enter the Smoky Mountain 1A/2A match with a 21-3 record. In their last match, Hayesville notched a victory over Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC), 3-0, in a league match.
