North Carolina High School Volleyball - Murphy tips Swain County

October 7, 2025: Bryson City, NC 28713

The Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC) volleyball held off the host Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), 3-2 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Bulldogs now possess a 10-9 record. They play next when they travel to Hayesville for a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A bout on Thursday, October 9. Murphy will clash with a Yellowjackets team coming off a 3-1 league win over Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 22-3.

With the loss, Swain County drops to 10-9 on the campaign. The Maroon devils host Summit Charter (Cashiers, NC) to clash with the Bears in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 9. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 4-11.
